Senior Immigration Consultant

Our firm is currently seeking an experienced Immigration Consultant with at least 5+ years of immigration experience to join our growing firm.

Salary between $70,000 and $90,000 (commensurate with experience)  + discretionary bonus + commission on retained clients (5% - 20%) + health / life insurance

Requirements:

  • Licensed with the IRCC

  • 5+ years of Immigration Experience

  • Must have experience across all application types:  Express Entry, Spousal Sponsorship, Study Permits, TRVs, Work Permits, TRPs, LMIAs, etc

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and balance competing interests

  • Self-starter with the ability to conduct legal research in an effective and efficient manner

Job Duties:

  • Work closely with Senior Immigration Lawyer to ensure office runs smoothly

  • Manage a team of 4 Case analysts

  • Review applications prepared by Immigration Case Analysts before submission to IRCC

  • Provide phone consultations to advise on how our firm can help a potential client

  • Earn a commission (5% - 20%) on retained files from phone consultations

  • Researching the processes and requirements for different types of applications

  • Preparing submission packages for both basic and complex cases and submitting to various government agencies (e.g., Employment and Social Development Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada etc.)

  • Provide assistance with the client intake process and respond to both basic and complex client inquiries by e-mail and/or telephone to ensure that applications are processed and any obstacles are anticipated and dealt with

  • Delegate, prioritize and review workflow, including, coordination of the application process, daily reviews, monthly planning, maintaining the “bring forward” system and file management

  • Daily review of submission packages for both basic and complex cases to various government agencies (e.g., ESDC, IRCC, etc)

  • Effectively communicate with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues, identify client immigration solutions and understand current client activity

  • Analyze, track and record all client specific processes and procedures

  • Participate in office-wide projects, including training and process improvement

  • Stay up to date with developments in immigration law

  • Understand existing fee agreements and established billing practices

  • Other duties may be assigned as required

Compensation:

 

  • Salary $70,000 to $90,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Discretionary bonus

  • Fixed percentage commission (5% - 20%) on clients retained from our firm's internal leads
