January 11, 2017: Express Entry draw tops 3,000 for the first time

Yet another draw breaks previous records. This is the third draw in a row that has issued the highest number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in over a year. This round issued a total of 3,334 ITAs.

The CRS score for this round was 459, which again, has been the lowest in a year. The last 2 rounds also saw the CRS score decrease.

This would be an opportune time for eligible Candidates to enter the pool. With increasing number of ITAs being issued and downtrending CRS scores, candidates now have a better chance of being selected than ever before.
